Our
company was formed back in the 50's by William G.
Martyn. |
The
main product was based on the needs of that period. Mainly 6 cylinder
Chevy, Fords & Chrys. Motors. The company was also a factory
authorized Hercules engine remanufacturer for many
years. |
In
1974 company ownership changed. To keep up with demand and technology, new
equipment was purchased. Our most recent acquisition is state of the art
CBN (Cubic Boron Nitride) tooling and ultrasonic cleaning
equipment. |
Since
1974 all of our work has been speciality machine work or custom engine
building. We've paced the company along to keep up with the changing
times. From the 50's 6 cylinder Chevy to six second drag cars. From Ford
flat heads to Ford Motor sports and now we've advanced into sport compact
age. These small awesome motors can be compared to 60's muscle cars with
half the pistons and twice the power. |
The
key and most important factor for survival in difficult times and success
in good times is our work force. We have four experienced men who have
been employed by Martyn Motors for twenty years or more, giving our
customers the benefit of 100 years of combine automotive machine shop
expertise. |
Some
of our shop work includes, Ferrari, Bugatti, Jaguar, Rolls Royce,
Offenhauser and BMW antique race car motors. From lawn mowers to
locomotives, farm tractors to drag strip "experience
counts". |
