Blocks are thoroughly cleaned, magnafluxed or pressure tested. Bore sizes checked for proper specifications and main housings are checked for alignment. Cylinders are then rough bored to within .003 of final size and finish honed to final size with proper piston to wall clearance. Torque plate and special hone finishes are available on request.

Crankshaft are checked and cleaned, shot blasted and magnafluxed. They are then reground to proper undersize oil holes chamfered and polished. Journal indexing, custom stroking flywheel flange facing and cross drilling is available. Thrust surface and journal repairing are performed with submerged arc welding equipment.

Connecting rods are cleaned, magnafulexed, shot blasted and reconditioned with new bolts and nuts installed. High performance bolts, beams polished, pin bushings installed and piston pins can be fitted at customer request.

Cylinder heads are cleaned, shot blasted, magnafluxed, or pressure tested. New valve guides are installed and finish honed to size. Valve seats faced with three angle CBN (cubic boron nitride) cutters. Valves are machined and valve stem heights corrected and spring pressure set. Head is resurfaced, also with CBN tooling, re-cleaned, reassembled and vacuum checked. Special Hi performance work. For example - angle milling, porting and flowing can be done at customer request.

Flywheel surfaces can be remachined (flat wheel or step wheel). We will at the customers request lighten the flywheel as well.

Pistons are measured and weight corrected. The connecting rods are weighed. Weight corrections are made to big end and small end as required Bob weights are made (if needed) and the crankshaft is spun. Balance corrections are made as needed. All finished assemblies are balanced to + or - .5 gram. Flywheel/flex plate and dampner are also included in this service.

Custom machining, welding, surface grinding, lathe and milling machine service is available at customers request.
